Dear Kindergarten Student,

Our first day of school is coming soon. I’m sure you are just as excited as I am!  I have been busy getting our classroom ready. I have crayons, pencils, markers, scissors and glue for you to use.

You will need two pairs of shoes, one pair for inside and one pair for outside; a large, roomy backpack and a lunch kit for everyday use. The backpack should be large enough to hold your lunch kit, an extra set of clothes (just in case you have an accident), your snow pants (in the winter, of course), and any schoolwork that you will be taking home.

During the day we will be having two nutrition breaks, or lunch times. When you pack your lunches, ask your mommy and daddy to show you which foods to eat during the first nutrition break and which ones should be saved for the second break.

During the first two weeks of school we will be learning all about raccoons. If you have any raccoon toys or books you would like to share, please bring them along. We will have an exciting time learning about so many new and wonderful things in God’s world! See you soon!
